JJ Classic

Joyful Journey, an adult day service in Lafayette, hosts the JJ Classic, an annual celebrity softball game and home run derby at Loeb Stadium. While the event raises funds to support those with cognitive or mobility challenges, they lacked a dedicated web page to inform the community, promote ticket sales, and capture the spirit of togetherness and charity. For the 2024 event, their ambitious goal was to draw 2,000 attendees—an ambitious increase from prior years.

02 — Creative process

I worked with the Joyful Journey team to create a single web page that highlighted the event’s mission, fostered a sense of community, and inspired visitors to participate. The content was warm and engaging, emphasizing the charitable cause and the fun of coming together for a good time. The page included clear, compelling details about the event, a direct link to buy tickets, and visuals that celebrated the joy and energy of previous JJ Classics.

03 — Results

The new web page exceeded expectations, helping the JJ Classic surpass its attendance goal of 2,000 attendees for the 2024 event. The director of Joyful Journey was ecstatic with the outcome, and the page’s structure and design can now be easily adapted for future events, ensuring continued success in the years to come.
